Darius

She’s safe.

She’s going to stay that way.

Fuck her apartment, Erin lives with us now. If Dad has a problem with that he can go fuck himself. He put us on this assignment, he can deal with the consequences.

I’m not going to let her sleep along. Eat alone. Bathe alone. Fucking take a piss without me right there in the room. I don’t plan on letting her out of my sight, but if I can’t be there Quinn will.

I’ll have all her things moved in later. Her books, her teddy bear, anything else that holds sentimental value. I already know the cosmetics she likes, the tampons she uses, the contents of her underwear drawer. I’ll buy her new things if I have to.

“Bro, she’s enough.” He shoves a handful of fries into his mouth, then talks around them. “I know I joke a lot, but why would I go elsewhere when I have access to—”

I turn the phone, letting Quinn read it, watching her blush as she notices. But if I think she’s going to become some sort of shrinking violet, I’m wrong.

She covers her mouth as she reads her message, clearing her throat. “It’s…only hard if you make it hard, Darius. Apply yourself to the problem and I’m sure you can get there without any help from me.
